INSTALLATION HELP

A clean first run on every OS.

Two platform-specific notes prevent the most common setup detours.

01Ubuntu & DebianInstall with one command

Run this in Terminal, or download the .deb above and open it with your package installer.

curl -fsSL https://download.grain.sh/install-linux.sh | bash

The script downloads the latest Debian package.
Approve the single password prompt from apt.
Open Grain from the app grid, or run grain.

For AppImage: run chmod +x Grain-latest-linux-x86_64.AppImage, then open the file.

02Windows SmartScreenWhat the warning means

The Windows installer is not Authenticode-signed yet, so SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC.”

Run Grain_…_x64-setup.exe.
Select More info, then Run anyway.
Finish setup and open Grain from the Start menu.

macOS builds are notarized. Linux packages do not require OS signing. Windows signing is planned.
